ASURO is a kit (soldering required) developed by the German Aerospace Center for an autonomous robot with multiple sensors. In addition to six impact sensors and an optical line-tracking unit, ASURO has two odometers and some display elements. The supplied duplex infrared interface enables wireless programming as well as remote control with the PC via USB. The “brain” of the robot is a RISC processor. Programming is done in C.
